Hi, this is the page where you go to find out who created this site and why and is it just an automated site.

It’s not. It was founded by me (Lara) when I saw my single friends struggling to prep for one person, and my mother-in-law not eating because it was too much trouble to cook for one.

My brother would cook big portions (and eat them) and gained weight.

Then my daughter started on her own and struggled as well to meal plan and prepare food. It was difficult to halve some recipes like fish with a sauce. And who wants to eat fish leftovers? (Not even her cat)

So, together, my daughter and I started testing out some meals and finding ways to freeze a portion. She’s trying out some of the meal services. If she gets 3 days for 2 people, that feeds her for the week. And so far nothing has been inedible so she doesn’t mind cooking the second half if needed or reheating leftovers.

We want to help you. Whether you hate leftovers, hate to quarter recipes, or just feel overwhelmed with what to cook, come hang out with us. We would love to hear from you too as to your successes and failures so we can all get better together.
